Acrylic sheet is used to make various products, such as windows, shower doors, shelves, furniture, signs, display and exhibition items. This material is chosen over glass for many reasons. This is because it is a lot stronger than glass, this is also because it is more impact resistant and therefore is a lot safer. Falling against a door in this type of material is a lot safer as it is less likely to break. It also provides better insulation and this will therefore save you money on heating bills. Another great advantage is that it is only half as heavy as glass, this therefore makes it a lot easier to work with. It can also be sawed, whereas glass must be scored.
